An Interesting New Nine-Eleven Twist

I think I've stumbled upon an interesting twist in the 9/11 plot. Yeah, I know, old news. But possibly a completely new perspective.

One theory was that Osama bin Laden was behind it, or at least that Muslim terrorists in general instigated it, namely Al-Qaeda. Likewise, there's a conspiracy theory that says our own government instigated it. Isn't that like cutting our own throats? It sounds too ridiculous to be true, I think. If anything, perhaps they were just too sloppy in getting the correct intelligence on time, or the necessary information may have been blocked by the enemy -- whoever that was.

Whoever was behind it, I would like to know where they got the idea of crashing airliners into the World Trade Center. Using an airliner as a bomb to blow up these landmark buildings was an ingenious idea, I'd admit, but horribly devastating nonetheless. But how long had the instigators been planning this? Yes, there was an attempt to blow up the World Trade Center several years before this, a failed attempt. Obviously the plotters had to come up with a new plan. Clearly the idea to destroy these twin towers could have been years in the making, but it's possible the exact method of initiating it was recent, possibly within that same year. This is my own theory but I do have a piece of the puzzle that may enlighten people. Allow me to proceed.

I'm sure everyone has heard of or seen the X-Files. There was a spin-off TV show that came out early this decade, called The Lone Gunman, about three conspiracy theorists/computer hackers that published an underground online newsletter, with a meager following of a couple thousand readers, probably not much different than the audience of this offshoot show, since it only lasted one season. Sad but true. Anyway, there was a particular episode, the pilot in fact, that discussed a terrorist plot to destroy the World Trade Center, to use an airliner to crash into it. Interestingly enough, the pilot at the controls actually had no control because the plane was being driven by remote control by some unknown source, terrorists of course. Fortunately, the good guys (the Lone Gunmen) thwarted the mechanism and the plane veered off away from the target. The day was saved.

As I was watching this episode, on a rented DVD from Hollywood Video, I was trying to figure out how this plot fit into the actual 9/11 event. Yep, me and my convoluted theoretical conspiratorial thought-process! So, I was wondering, was this episode filmed before or after that devastating incident? So I looked at the DVD case and noticed the air date of this particular episode: 3/4/01. Six months before the 9/11 event took place! Yikes! What have I stumbled onto? Had anyone else that watched this short-lived TV series noticed this too? Did the writers of this episode in some strange convoluted way stumble upon the method of the terrorist plot for the 9/11 event? Did they hear some rumor from some Deep Throat type source? Or did the actual terrorist instigators just by chance happen to watch this particular episode, and in so doing, formulated the method of their diabolical plan?

Although there were few viewers of this unpopular TV show, were mostly American citizens watching, or were a few Middle Eastern terrorists also curious about this ridiculous show as well? Were they desperate in an attempt to think up insidious terrorist schemes and so they consorted to television for inspiration? And thereby found the ingenious plot they were looking for? We may never know. But I think it is definitely an interesting twist to the whole 9/11 incident. But this is just yet another piece of the puzzle to contemplate.
